Update #7
This is a somewhat weekly Chinese MP3 Rotation in which I offer selected pieces of music for download encompassing many different genres.
*All songs are in Mandarin Chinese.
*Files are all 128 kbps.
*Files are zipped, so you need WinZip or WinRar to open them.
*Please comment if you download so I can get a sense of how many people come here.
*Please delete the file(s) after 24 hours as they are for sampling purposes only.
*Please support the artists and purchase their albums if you enjoy what you hear.
*All the songs are ripped from albums that I have bought (a few are gifts from friends) and are hosted by me.
*Don't repost/direct-link these files elsewhere.
*Files are deleted after a new update is added.
*I don't take requests.
*If you would like a song from a previous update, please leave a comment (provide your email!) and I'll try to get it to you.
*Feel free to add me to your friends list for updates.
*I upload what I like, which isn't necessarily new or mainstream.

I'm OK (3:57)
江美琪
朋友的朋友, 2003
Acoustic, Pop

Melody Chiang is a Taiwanese singer most known for singing expressive, beautiful love songs. She debuted in 1999 and has released nine albums since then.

I'm OK is one of Melody's faster songs, and it just has a very attractive melody (no pun). I love her voice. It sounds so sweet and relaxed.

不愛 (3:25)
陶喆
太美麗, 2006
R&B, Ballad

Widely considered the grandfather of R&B in Taiwan,  David Tao has released five albums since his debut in 1997. Though born in Hong Kong, he was raised and educated in the US and moved to Taiwan only to pursue his singing-songwriting career. Tao composes most of his own songs, and has written songs for other artists as well. He is known for being very socially conscious, voicing his views on world issues.

Bu Ai is a very emotionally-charged song, and he sings the chorus very strongly. Beautiful and a bit sad.

進行式 ft. 胡彥斌 (4:19)
蕭亞軒
愛上愛, 2003
Pop

Elva Hsiao speaks fluent English, having lived in Vancouver for much of her childhood. She was discovered when she entered a TVB talent search and emerged as a finalist. So far, she has released eight albums.

Jinxing Shi is the only song I like from this album. This duet with Anson Hu is beautiful, since I love both their voices. In some places, Anson even sings higher than her. This is a nice mid-tempo song.

Mr. Q (3:21)
蔡依林
舞孃, 2006
Pop, Hip-Hop

After winning an MTV singing competition in 1999, Jolin Tsai was signed by Universal Music (she is now with Capitol Records). She is most known for her revealing clothing and provocative dance moves.

Despite my dislike for Jolin (yes I do own this album nonetheless, but it was a gift), this song is ridiculously catchy, and great dance music.
